Prior to priming, painting, staining or sealing exterior surfaces such as wood siding, decks, railings etc, it is often desirable to clean the substrate (surface) to remove mold, mildew, algae, fungus, dirt, and loose paint or particles thorough pressure washing.  This provides a stronger adhesion of paints or other treatments and looks best!  This sometimes involves use of a bleach solution and occasionally a detergent.  Surfaces can then be scraped and/or sanded ,caulked and repaired where and if needed.

The process of pressure washing (also called power washing) opens the grain in wood causing it to be vulnerable to more kinds of weather damage and live organism attack.  It is CRITICAL therefore that within approximately two days to a month after the washing that the surfaces be sealed with some kind of reliable product to protect it.  We will never seal wood in less than two days because it needs to be dry prior to any kind of sealing.  Water wants to escape and will damage any product applied in effort to evaporate if the product is applied prematurely.

We also do pressure washing for vinyl and aluminum sided homes which do not need re-painting!
